Shopping for bargains
Over the last year there has been a ground swell of web sites offering "Deal of the Day" bargains. I have gotten a few good deals from a couple, but there is also a lot of crap and not-so-good deals. Some of the fun things have been the mystery items. Some of the sites:
Woot – one of the first. About once a month they have woot-offs, where they sell an item until it sells out and then offer another. They usually end it with their "Bag O Crap" mystery item.
ThingFling – offers an item for a set time with a count-down timer. They often have an "Almot Mystery Bag" where they tell you some of what you get, but also throw in extras.
Shnoop – offers a daily item. The owner of the site does not offer anything for sale from sundown Friday night to sundown Saturday night – for religious reasons.
There are many, many more out there, but these are the only three that I have ever bought from and these sites offer either free or cheap shipping. One of the items I bought from Thing Fling did not work properly; but, they quickly replaced it – good customer service.
