Logitech support hell

January 5, 2007 · Posted in General · 2 Comments

I recently bought a wireless Logitech keyboard and just starting having problems with it.  I went through the standard things on my own, but it appears there is something wrong with the keyboard (the enter key is repeating itself, one or more times – this is the only key that is doing it).

I sent an email to their technical support.  The entire message is:

“I just starting having this problem. The enter key on the key board is repeating. When I press the enter key, after a short delay, it repeats, usually twice, but not always. The enter key on the number pad does not have this problem and I have not noticed this problem with any other key on the keyboard. I ahve tried changing the repeat delay setting in Windows and, of course, rebooting the PC. Nothing has been spilled on the keyboard. The problem started in the middle of the day.”

Their tech support sent me a reply shortly after midnight (from Sallini Kamaruzzaman) that started: “Based on your email, I understand that you are unable to establish a connection with your LX710 Cordless Desktop keyboard. Please correct me if I am wrong.”

My next message to them was to let them know that they are wrong.  I started to ask if they could read English, because they apparently didn’t bother reading the message.

I sent a reply at 8 am, 24 hours later I still have not received a response from them.
