Gay rights activists in Massachusetts are trying to get the birth certificates in that state changed to “include gender-neutral nomenclature,†according to the Boston Globe. They seem to want the certificates to have Parent A and Parent B instead of Mother and Father. And to think, I considered Dr. Suess’ Thing 1 and Thing 2 to be nonsense.
Gov. Romney wants the clerks to cross out Father and write in Second Parent. That’s just as bad.
The last time I checked, biologically, a person can have only one father and one mother (unless, I guess, your are victim of some sort of cruel and demented genetic experiment).
Massachusetts has already rewritten marriage certificates to read Party A and Party B. What about Party C? I bet there are some polygamists out there just waiting to move to the Bay State.
